Art is our one true global language. It knows no nation. It favors no race. It acknowledges no class. It speaks to our need to heal, reveal and transform.”

A Bit About Art Therapy
A creative approach to self expression
Art therapy is a powerful, research based service that promotes the overall mental health and wellness of individuals, families, and communities. There is no need to have any experience or talent in art to benefit from Art Therapy services.
Clients use all forms of art materials from paints and pencils to clay and found objects. Sometimes the therapist will guide the art directive and at other times the client will be given the opportunity to create spontaneously. The method and process depend completely on the client's therapy goals and where in their process they are.

Individual Therapy
Feeling a bit down lately and nothing seems to lift your spirits? It might be time to seek help from a licensed professional. I guide my clients every step of the way and implement various methods to help them develop new thoughts towards all of life’s most complex matters while providing the tools to cope outside the therapy office.
It is essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a magic pill or a quick fix: therapy is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the patient and therapist alike. But in the end, making small changes to self-defeating behavior and coping with feelings of sadness, fear, and pain can bring life-altering results.Schedule an appointment today and see what I can do for you.
Supervision Group
All therapists can benefit from supervision. This supervision group is made up of local peers in the helping field. The group is 90 minutes in length. After checking in with each person, 30-45 minutes of dedicated time to create, the remaining time is spent processing together. I’m confident you’ll find supervision group beneficial and inspirational. Get in touch to join the group today.

FAQ
Have a question you’d like to ask? I’m committed to giving clients the best care and experience I can. There’s no such thing as a bad question when it comes to mental health. Check out the answers to the FAQs below, and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any additional questions.
How does this all work?
First we have a phone conversation to see if we would be a good match and go over some generic policy information. Then we schedule an initial appointment where we meet in person at my office. During this session we go over all the initial paperwork (which can be sent to you ahead of time to be filled out) and do some assessment drawings (which create a baseline from which we can see changes over time.) We then go over your goals or what brings you to therapy. From there we schedule the next session, typically once per week.
Creating art in session is sometimes driven by a task the therapist gives based on your current mindset/emotion/situation/etc., it may start with a broad theme, or even spontaneous art by the client. Again, it is all about you as an individual and what you would benefit from to reach your goals. Therapy is a process and there are no shortcuts in healing, so expect to do some work in and out of the office to reach your goals.
How long does each therapy session take?
Individual art therapy sessions are 60 minutes in length. Group sessions are 90 minutes in length unless otherwise noted. Keep in mind that difficulties aren't solved in one session and often require both the client and therapist to do work outside of the office.
What is art therapy? Do I need to be an artist to participate?
Art therapy is the use of art materials to express oneself with the guidance of a trained Art Therapist in order to reach goals that improve your mental health and overall wellbeing.
You do not need to be an artist to participate. You can benefit from art therapy whether you have been a master painter for 40+ years or if you've never held a paintbrush. It is all about the process and not necessarily the product. You might be surprised at how healing art therapy can be regardless of what your art looks like.
What are the fees? Do you accept insurance? Do you offer sliding scale rates?
Individual Art Therapy is $200 per session.
Cash, credit, or debit is accepted at each session.
Please call for supervision rates.
